ConvertKit
ConvertKit is an email marketing platform built for creators to effortlessly manage lists, send targeted campaigns, and sell digital goods — all visually and with a free plan available.

What is ConvertKit?
ConvertKit is an email marketing platform specifically designed for creators, such as bloggers, YouTubers, podcasters, and course creators. It helps creators build and manage their email lists, send targeted email campaigns, and automate their email marketing.
Here are some of the key features of ConvertKit:
Easy-to-use interface: ConvertKit is known for its simple and intuitive interface, making it easy for even non-technical users to get started with email marketing.

Subscriber segmentation and tagging: ConvertKit allows you to segment your subscribers based on their interests, demographics, and actions, so you can send them more targeted and relevant emails.
Email automation: ConvertKit offers a variety of email automation features, such as welcome sequences, drip campaigns, and abandoned cart emails, which can help you save time and increase your sales. (I use these a TON.)

Landing pages and signup forms: ConvertKit provides a variety of landing page and signup form templates that you can use to collect email addresses from your website or social media pages.
Ecommerce features: ConvertKit integrates with a number of popular e-commerce platforms, such as Shopify and WooCommerce, so you can sell products directly through your email campaigns.
Free plan: ConvertKit offers a free plan that allows you to have up to 1,000 subscribers.
Here are some additional things to keep in mind about ConvertKit:
- It is a paid service, although there is a free plan available with limited features.
- It is not the best option for businesses that need to send a large number of emails each month.
- It does not offer some of the more advanced features that are available from other email marketing platforms, such as marketing automation and CRM integration.
How I use ConvertKit
If you’ve received an email from me in some capacity or another, it’s come from ConvertKit. From my newsletters to my free email courses, all emails were designed and delivered through ConvertKit. I also frequently create simple landing pages for webinars or other time-sensitive things (because ConvertKit’s landing page templates and editor are a breeze to work with)!

I also occasionally use ConvertKit Commerce to sell digital products, like planning, Notion, or Google Sheets templates. I also set up a virtual “tip jar,” which allows people who find your content valuable to tip (send you money) if they wish, which is pretty nice!
Alternatives to ConvertKit
I highly recommend ConvertKit if you’re looking for a powerful email platform. There are MANY other email marketing options on the market. If you’re a small creator, check out Beehiiv, Flodesk, Mailchimp, Moosend, and MailerLite if you need alternatives.
If you’re more of a small e-commerce/online business owner, I’d recommend looking into something that’s more tailored for online stores like Sendlane or Klaviyo.
